AWANA – Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed

Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM (During School Year)

AWANA is an international children’s program offered by First Baptist Danville as another means for partnering with adults in raising up and training their children. The AWANA name comes from the Bible in 2 Timothy 2:15 which says: “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.” AWANA meets every Wednesday of the month throughout the school year, and is divided into three segments: Game Time, Handbook Time, and Counsel Time.

Who can participate in AWANA?

Cubbies

3 years old by August 1st up to and including Preschool age.

Sparks

Kindergarten through 2nd grade.

Truth and Training

T & T reflects the passion of AWANA to teach third through fifth grade boys and girls, the truth of God’s Word and train them to follow Christ in their daily lives.

TREK

TREK, our ministry for junior high students, meets the needs of youths at three different levels:

  1. One level (Come See)
  2. A second level (Come Follow) helps young believers grow in their faith.
  3. Another level (Come Serve) trains committed teenagers for leadership, ministry service and a deeper walk with God.
